Update on COVID-19 cases in Ghana

The number of COVID-19 infections in Ghana has exceeded 14,500, health authorities said Friday, as 445 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Confirmed cases stand at 15,473, Ghana Health Service Director General Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said in a press conference.

Ten additional fatalities from the virus were recorded Tuesday, taking the nationwide death toll to 95.

The number of recovered patients has reached 11,431

The capital of Accra and the Ashanti, Western and Central regions are the worst-hit areas.

Since originating in Wuhan, China last December, the pandemic has claimed nearly 477,000 lives in 188 countries and regions.

More than 9.2 million cases have been reported worldwide, while over 4.6 million patients have recovered, according to figures compiled by US-based Johns Hopkins University.

Moesha Buduong sleeps with married men for money.

Moesha Boduong in an interview on CNN’s Amanpour show revealed that the state of the Ghanaian economy has pushed her to sleep with a married man in order to survive.

“Ghana our economy is such that you just need someone to take care of you because you can’t make enough money as a woman here,” she said.

“When you want to get an apartment, in Ghana you pay two years in advance and I just started working, where will I get the money,” she explained.

The interviewer who was visibly surprised by the revelation and enquired if Miss Boduong was having sex with the man primarily to pay for her rent, with which she responded, ” he can afford to take care of you.He takes care of me, my financial stuff, my apartment, my car, my rent, everything”.

She added that in exchange for the money she receives from her lover/benefactor, she is expected to stay loyal to him and yield to his sexual desires whenever he asks for it.

” He expects me to be loyal and just to date him only and give him sex when he wants.You can’t say no.You have to give him what he wants otherwise he is going to think you are cheating on him, ” she added.

Ebony Still in Artiste of the Year Race – Charterhouse

Organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Charterhouse Productions says the late Ebony Reigns still qualifies for the 19th edition of the awards.
Prior to her unfortunate sudden demise, Ebony had been widely tipped as a major candidate for this year’s top award, Artiste of the Year.
The 90s Bad Gyal as she called herself released several hits songs and her performances were the toast at many events in the course of the year.
She has been touted as a possible first female artiste to win the VGMA Artiste of the Year, but hopes were shuttered following her sudden demise.
However, the CEO of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade said even in death, Ebony still qualifies for nominations to all the categories of the awards, including Artiste of the Year.
She was speaking with Adom News Reporter Shine Acquah at a press conference of the 19th VGMAs.

Revelations into the death of Ebony shows that she wasn’t in the jeep with registration number AS 497 – 16 alone.
Photos from the accident scenes also show that she died that with one young lady. The young lady who died with Ebony was identified as Franky.
Yes, Franky was Ebony Reigns Personal Assistant (PA) and the two were childhood friends.
Franky and Ebony died after they had a fatal accident on their way from Sunyani after the ‘Sponsor’ hitmaker visited family members. The two in a video they shot whilst in Sunyani with the songstress’ family members were looking all happy only to meet their untimely death hours later.
